Our Corporate Strategy

Diversifying our activities was amplified throughout the years by the developing needs of a growing clientele; therefore, after historically being classified as a commercial bank, we grew to become a bank that provides services covering six main areas: Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management, Treasury and Capital Markets, Investment Banking and International Operations. In full compliance with our mission and vision, we have adopted an aggressive strategy in order to create more value and ensure long-term growth, for us as a bank and for all our stakeholders. This strategy stems out of three major elements:
  • Growth and development on internal and external levels through expansions and acquisitions. In this regard, we acquired Banque SBA, in 2006, to gain a foothold in Europe. Then, we established a representative office in Abu Dhabi, heading afterwards to Nigeria. We have also issued Preference Shares in 2006, 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2016 in order to finance our expansion both regionally and internationally, as well as our various projects and continued integral growth.
  • The diversification of business areas to provide products and services to all our customers.
  • A more effective distribution by increasing our channels such as our branch network (36 branches, 1 e-branch and 176 ATMs by February, 2025), Internet banking, Phone banking, SMS alerts, as well as an effective call center and mobile applications.
